Description

This is half way between Thors hammer and a Christian cross, so who ever turns up at your door with a big sword and asks whose side you are on, you are covered!, for protection. The original was found in the German island of Hiddensee in the Baltic Sea. Hollow to reduce weight. Many similar examples found in Germany. Small enough for a charm bracelet or buy 2 to make into earrings! Photographed on a 1 cm grid. We have been making the hand made jewellery that we supply in England over several years. We used to sell at various re-enactment events in the UK and all over Europe. MERCIA SVEITER has been trading for over 30 years. Now that we have retired to Spain we are clearing our remaining stock via Amazon. Many items are very limited in availability (only one remaining in some cases). The items are largely museum replicas that are used by reenactors and film companies. We have sold to TV series including The Vikings and Thrones Our main interest has always been Saxon, Viking and Norman reenactment but we have many Roman and Medieval items. Of course, CELTIC is a term that seems to encompass all of the above. Live action roleplay (LARP) is a hobby expanding all over the world (often called ‘cosplay’ in America). So if you are a Tolkien elf or a character from your favourite show, if King Arthur or William the Conqueror is your hero, we have the ‘bling’ for you!
