Product Description

Add simple electrical control of your devices and appliances to Raspberry Pi. The Pi-mote control from Energenie is a great way to build a home automation platform with the Raspberry Pi at the centre. Using 433mHz Radio Frequency on the ISM band, your Pi becomes a smart controller to switch appliances and devices on and off automatically when used in conjunction with Energenie RF sockets and extension leads, available seperately. <> Its simple to get up and running, just download the software from the manufacturers website, copy it to a text editor such as Leafpad, plug the Pi-mote on to the GPIOs and you are ready to go. Pair your existing Energenie products to the Pi-mote by holding down the pairing button and allocating a command on the Pi [just tapping "Enter" is sufficient] <> Of course this is only the beginning; now you are up and running why not try a timer program? Or add sensors to give true automation. The limit is only your imagination. <> Because the electrical controls and the Pi are kept completely separate this is a very safe way to learn about electrical control with no risks, so its safe for the classroom too. <> Energenie have a range of compatible single sockets and 4 gang extension leads which will work with your Pi-moye [not included]
