Description

CAMP - Corsa Nanotech, ice axe ski mountaineering
The CAMP Corsa Nanotech is the most advanced ice axe for snow and glacier hiking and skiing mountaineering on the market. Constructed of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy like the lightweight Corsa, it stands out from the latter by Sandvik Nanoflex steel alloy inserts on the head and toes: critical points that are therefore much more resistant and durable without sacrificing lightness.
The curvature of the handle optimises the stroke without reducing the functionality of the bearing and penetration into the snow. A special nylon insert prevents snow from entering and accumulating in the ice axe. The grip obtained in the lower part of the handle ensures a good grip. The slot on the back of the head allows the Corsa strap to be attached (available separately).
Not suitable for vertical ice climbing and difficult mixed terrain.
Sandvik Nanoflex an innovative alloy steel with mechanical strength and toughness 60% higher than normal alloy steels; it reduces the amount of metal to be used, significantly reduces weight while maintaining its strength intact.
