The diamond machined aluminium sub turntable can be manufactured with significantly improved and lower tolerances and is a significant improvement to normal sub-plates. This increases the mass of the entire turntable and drive system and leads to additional attenuation of noise and unwanted resonances. The improved tolerances during production increase the accuracy of the overall speed. The additional mass also improves speed fluctuations (wow & flood).
