Colored filters can bring out details on a planets surface or in its cloud structure. Use on Jupiter and Saturn to highlight details of belts and polar regions. 12 Dark Yellow: A good versatile filter for telescopes with smaller aperture (less than 4.5 inches), the yellow No. 12 will enhance the contrast of the Moons details. It will also allow you to observe the equatorial belts of Jupiter and Saturn, clouds and polar caps on Mars, as well as the dark details on Uranus and Neptune.
