The silo bags with integrated drawstring have a carry handle and are made of extremely strong monfilament fabric. Thanks to the UV resistance, the silo bags have a long service life of approximately 8-10 years. Silo sandbags are suitable for weighting silo protection film, protective film (suction film) and silo grilles. Thanks to the shape of the hose, the bags are ideal for use on the silo. Due to their length, the silo bags can also be used as flood protection barriers, e.g. on cellar doors or windows. A silo bag is ideally filled with large grains of round gravel, but can also be filled with sand.
Directions for use:
Tip 1: Fill the sandbags with slightly coarser round gravel instead of sand. Since the bags are made from a thin water permeable fabric, fine sand can escape over time.
Tip 2: Each sandbag has a reversible marking strip. This marking serves to identify which side is above. Turn silo bags every year. So you expose the top and bottom of the sandbags evenly to UV rays. Even if the high-quality monofilament fabric is UV resistant, you double the life of the silo bags.
Tip 3: Do not fill too large sandbags with gravel, but so that they are still mobile and "soft". Thus, the bags adapt better to their surface and do not slip so easily and form a better homogeneous structure when stacking.
