Description

***History of the deck*** Le Tarot Astrologique Le Tarot Astrologique was published in the 1920s in Paris by B. P. Grimaud. The cards were created by George Muchery, an important French occultist, and designed by Henri Armengol, a French artist. At its base an astrological oracle deck, Le Tarot Astrologique seeks to combine the elements of astromancy with tarot. ***Layout of the deck*** The deck consists of 48 cards: 36 zodiacal sign cards, 9 star and planet cards, and one of each of the ascendants, the ascending node/the descending node, and part of fortune. The zodiac is split into three cards for each sign, 0, 10, and 20. Most cards have double ended card titles, astrological names, descriptions, and symbols of planets. A visually beautiful deck, the design of the cards displays the telltale strong lines and coloring showing the dramatic signs of cards produced before and shortly after the Great War. Along with the deck, this item comes with a translation of the meanings Muchery gives from french to english and outlines a card spread of Muchery’s creation. ***NOTE*** This is a facsimile reproduction. Not included, but if you want to learn more about how to use this deck, there is a book that was written by Muchery and translated to English, The Astrological Tarot. Its 300 pages and all of the major & minor cards are fully illustrated & their symbolic values comprehensively described. It also covers some methods of card spreads & their possible interpretations.
