Paracord is a cord originally used in parachute design during World War II. Hence the origin of its name. The soldiers were launched behind enemy lines and, once the parachute was abandoned because it was bulky, they recovered the cord so that they could be used in all circumstances. This is how its incredible qualities are emerged: lightweight, weatherproof, UV ray-resistant, wear and friction. It turned out to be an excellent tool for tying and transporting branches for fire, building shelter, attacking a wounded limb, preparing traps for animals or enemies. It has a breaking load of 250 kg, making it a cord suitable for all types of outdoor activities: camping, survival routes and excursions of different types. The outer sock is made with 100% high tenacity polyester threads, the core of 7 nylon garments, each consisting of 3 additional twisted threads, also individually usable for e.g. object repair, fishing and hand sewing. Paracord has a wide range of uses in jewellery. It is widely used to make bracelets and keychains.
