The VISIONPAD-6 is a tabletop electronic drum kit that provides the perfect introduction to drumming. Comprised of four pads and two foot pedals, the VISIONPAD-6 offers 163 sounds and 30 pre-loaded kits, all of which are fully customisable. Laid out like a traditional kit, the velocity sensitive nature of each pad ensures that the subtlest of nuances are captured for a realistic playing experience. This guarantees a smooth transition for your child when theyre big enough to play an acoustic kit.
Incredibly versatile, the VISIONPAD-6 comes complete with 25 integrated musical games that will allow any budding drummer to master the basics of rhythm. Designed to inspire, the on-board high score system displayed at the end of each game on the easy-to-read LCD screen allows them to track their development over time.
Education made fun
One of the greatest assets of the VISIONPAD-6 is the on-board game system. With songs ranging from Classical pieces to nursery rhymes, and Pop to Salsa, drummers will be able to improve their technique in a fun and engaging manner.
Before the start of each song, they’ll receive a four-beat count-in, giving them plenty of time to prepare. After the count-in, notes will begin to trickle down the screen which they’ll strike when they reach the bottom. Each of the numbers on the system represents which pad should be hit. On the bottom right-hand side of the screen they’ll be provided with instant feedback on the accuracy of each hit, informing them whether it was “good”, “perfect” or a “miss”.
For total control over each game, it is possible to independently adjust the volumes of the backing track and drum kit. They can even determine the exact Beats Per Minute (BPM) within a range of 20-240 to find a speed they feel comfortable with.
Suitable for use anywhere
The inclusion of a headphone input on the VISIONPAD-6 allows you to decide when you’d like to hear the electronic drum kit, without disrupting their education. When played without headphones, the on-board 1.5” stereo speakers provide an honest reproduction of the digital drum kit at a conscientious volume. Its compact, lightweight size and choice of power from either a supply or batteries allows you to take the drum kit wherever you go.
Feel is everything when you’re a drummer. It’s what separates the great from good. Thanks to the velocity sensor at the top of the interface, your child will be able to grasp a strong understanding of feel from the get-go. This allows them to see exactly how hard they’re hitting each drum so they can work on their dynamics and perfect their groove.
