The legendary "K Con" is renowned for its perfect blended sound quality. Complex hammering contributes to the cymbals unique sonic identity and dark tones that can be at once cutting and smooth. Made in small batches using a 14-step hammering process, K Constantinople has its own signature voice.
14" K Constantinople Hi-Hat
Zildjian K Constantinople 14 in. Hi Hats are always eloquent and musical and are ideal for acoustic jazz and studio work.
17" K Constantinople Crash
The 17" K Constantinople Crash has received a makeover. Incorporating the same features as the 16" and 18" K Constantinople Crashes, the 16" Crash now utilizes new hammering techniques allowing the cymbal to open up with more dark overtones, distinction, and musicality than ever before. The new pin lathe, added to the top and bottom of each cymbal, serves as an additional tonal groove, adding to the overall complexity of the sound produced. Additionally, the new pin lathe enhances the visual appearance of these cymbals, adding a vintage look of the Ks of the past.
22" K Constantinople Medium Ride
Plenty of give, texture and "crash ability." Combination of top articulation and bottom spread provides excellent stick articulation. Lower in pitch. K Constantinople cymbals speak with the dark warm sound associated with Zildjian cymbals made in Turkey in the first half of the 20th Century. "Old Ks" first resurfaced during the 1950s and 1960s in set-ups of bebop era vanguard drummers like Elvin Jones. K Constantinoples are hand-lathed by skilled artisans using old-style cutting tools. Pits and other surface impurities, that modern finishing processes remove, are retained, preserving the original tonal quality.
