How to Replace Your Water Filter

Step 1: Unplug the fountain and remove the drinking dish with your hands. Discard the old filter.

The two main ingredients in the nugget water filter are also commonly found in water purification systems in your home (for example, your refrigerator filter).

• Activated charcoal and
• Ion-exchange resin

The filter should be rinsed before using for the first time. If youre seeing any black residue or particles in your water during the filter rinse, this is normal. The activated charcoal should be soaked and rinsed to remove any of this residue - then its ready to install into your fountain!

Step 2: Remove the filter from packaging and rinse the filter under running water for 30 seconds. Soak inside a bucket of tap water for 10 minutes. It is normal to see charcoal residue.

Step 3: While the new filter is soaking, use this opportunity to clean your fountain. You can use mild dish soap with a sponge - be sure to rinse thoroughly so no soap residue is remaining.

Replace Filter and Drinking Dish

Step 4: Place the new filter element inside of the filter tray and replace the drinking dish (it should snap right in!). Your fountain is ready!
