Are Postsaver rot protectors compatible with concrete post mix?

Yes. All posts with rot protection applied to them can be installed with concrete post mix.

How does Postsaver rot protection work?

Rot protectors create an air and watertight seal around the critical first 6"/15 cm below ground. This dual-layer rot protection seal system excludes all the factors required for decay to occur (oxygen, fungi and moisture), guaranteeing against rot.

How do you know Postsaver rot protection works?

Our confidence comes from our zero failure, 20-year independent field test data conducted by the BRE, Europes largest and leading timber test organisation.

What sort of hot air gun or blow torch do I need for rot protector application?

You need a minimum of a 2+ KW hot air gun or a gas blow torch with a non pencil-tip flame. If applying rot protectors to a square post, youll also need a foam roller to ensure adhesion to the flat sides of the post.

Why do rot protectors not cover the bottom of the post?

Below 6 inches or 15 cm in the ground, there is not enough oxygen for the fungi required for decay to survive; this means there is no need to protect the post below this point.
