Double barn door hardware instructions step by step, have detailed word instructions with pictures

Tips:

1) The hardware kit is heavy, we suggest to install the track on the studs of the wall. The hardware kit can also be installed on the brick wall and wood wall. If the wall is drywall or sheetrock, and no studs in the wall, the installed track might descend, the kit will not work.

2) If theres thick trim/baseboard/deco on the wall, you may need install the headboard on the wall, then install the track on the headboard.

3) The recommended door thickness is from 35mm to 40mm, if door is thinner or thicker, you may need to check the gap info below, to know the gap between door & wall, inside door & outside door.

4) About the hangers installation, the first hole on the door is 40mm from the top pf the door, the second hole on the door is 89.5mm from the first hole, which is 129.5mm from the top of the door.

How to choose barn door track size?

Barn door track length should be at least twice of total door width. For example, if you each barn doors is 75cm wide, you will need 4*75cm = 300cm (9.8FT) long track.

1. If you have a doorway trim on wall ;

2. If your door thickness is greater than 45mm ;

3. If the studs dont line up with the pre-drilled holes in the rail

We suggest 35mm-45mm thick door, if you use for other thick door, you can change the door screws by yourself.
