Steripen Aqua lasts for up to 3000 liters of water purification. Treatment time: 48 seconds (0.5 L) or 90 seconds (1 L). Battery: 4 AA batteries Alkaline, Lithium or Rechargeable NiMH.

Steripen uses short wave germicidal UV light to disinfect water. This range of UV light disrupts the DNA within bacteria, viruses and protozoa, rendering them unable to reproduce and therefore, harmless. The compact water purifier is quick and easy to operate and provides tasteless drinking water. Agitation of the water by stirring with Steripen or rocking the container is essential for proper operation as this insures uniform exposure of all water to germicidal UV light. You can use your Steripen with pre-filled wide neck water bottles up to 1 liter in size or with a cup.
