The powerful 14.7 W LED outdoor spotlight is limited to the essentials. The 220° motion sensor can be fitted with the cover strips to adjust the detection area and still detect any movement with a range of 10 m.
range to detect any movement. The light duration and the and the twilight sensor can be set easily and directly on the motion detector. This means that dark corners can be specifically with a brightness of 1375 lm and a neutral white light colour of 4000 K.
The spotlight head can be swivelled horizontally by 80° and vertically by 150°
Provides 1375 lm brightness with 4000 K light colour and only 14.7 W consumption
With 220° detection angle and max. 10 m range, adjustable time and twilight threshold
Sturdy aluminium spotlight, UV-resistant plastic and LED system with 50,000 h service life
This electronic module reacts when the infrared heat radiation within its detection area changes, i.e. when a person enters the detection area. The resulting voltage jump is converted by the system into an electronic pulse that switches on the light.
People emit infrared radiation due to their body heat. This radiation is used by infrared sensor technology to recognise movement and react accordingly.
The range of infrared sensors depends on the direction of movement. The FL 1400 S has a maximum range of 10 m for tangential movement (parallel to the sensor), which is reduced for radial movement (towards the sensor). In addition, the detection range can be restricted using the cover plates supplied.
STEINEL multi-lenses are visually reminiscent of the compound eye of a fly and, with their hemispherical detection area, enable seamless monitoring. STEINEL multi-lens technology is the optimum lens system for motion detectors with double or triple sensors with detection angles from 180° to 360°.

What is included in the delivery?
In addition to the spotlight, 2x wall plugs, 2x matching screws and sensor cover plates for adjusting the detection area are supplied.
The sensor floodlight switches on for no recognisable reason. What could be the reason for this?
Gusts of wind can cause short-term temperature fluctuations, which can lead to incorrect switching. Other triggers can also be exhaust air openings in the house wall or animals in the detection area.
Why does the motion detector not achieve the specified maximum range?
For technical reasons, PIR sensors react best in a tangential direction of movement (parallel to the sensor). If the direction of movement is radial (towards the sensor), the detection range is reduced.
Is the spotlight suitable for outdoor installation?
Yes, the spotlight is protected against splash water to IP44 and can therefore be installed outdoors without any problems.
