This mattress protector from ComfortCare is a breathable waterproof Brushed Cotton mattress protector. On the underside there is a microfine Polyurethane waterproof membrane. This membrane is laminated to the upper surface providing a constant barrier between the mattress and the sleeper, this barrier stops liquids and moisture from reaching the mattress. The barrier also stops skin particles from passing through to the mattress, cutting off the food supply that mites depend on. The barrier also stops mites and their waste products from passing through to you.
