Weve been obsessed with it for over 40 years and our products are constantly evolving, going new ground and offering a growing accessory wardrobe that offers performance enhancing solutions to players at every level of performance! Our goal is to produce powerful, elegant, and technically superior ligatures that provide accurate intonation and increased playing comfort to woodwinds in every music genre and in any setting. Although there have been many imitators over the years, there is only ONE Rovner! We are the ligature of choice for discerning musicians and educators and now offer consistently superior performance for generations of players!

Beginning with the original Dark, each Rovner ligature was developed using a combination of science, technology, sound technology and music theory... a powerful blend that leads to a synergistic relationship between the leaf, leaf, mouthpiece... and the player!

Our materials!

Rovner ligatures are made in the USA from USA made components. The ligature material and hardware are manufactured to our specifications and undergo a number of treatments and proprietary procedures to ensure their durability and give them an energetic response! The textile used in Rovner ligatures is not leather and therefore does not tend to stretch like leather over time. They feature our standard dual tone finish hardware (most saxophones, all versas) or standard polished alloy hardware (all clarinets, some saxophones).

With nine different ligature models, each available in nine to twenty-three sizes, we have a ligature that is suitable for almost any mouthpiece! All are assembled and inspected by hand and all include a genuine Rovner cap.

There is something for everyone

We do not make ligatures "just for students" or "just for professionals". Although The Dark is often recommended for students, it is also enjoyed by some professional or celebrity artists who just play nothing else. And although our next-generation models offer additional performance features that are most easily appreciated by experienced players, advanced players from students can also benefit from their benefits.
