Ok a few home truths about Bearings from the experts. DO NOT BUY ANY BONES REDS ON EBAY IF THEY ARE UNDER £15. Why you ask ? because its impossible to sell them for less which proves they are fake and oh yes they make plenty of fake bones reds. and oh yes! plenty of dubious sellers on ebay sell fake bones reds for under £10. Next important guide is do not go off an ABEC rating as it has been abused by cheap chinease manufacturers. Abec rating is easy to find out about on Google. It was a system set up by engineers to rate the tolerance of a bearing at high speeds ie washing machines etc. Chinese factorys started to realize along with greedy buyers that if you say a bearing is a higher abec you can get more money for it. The engineering abec rating also does not go higher than 10 so if you see an abec 11 bearing it is totally fake. Given the Abec rating speed you would never need higher than an abec 3 unless you think you are going to travel at over 100MPH which isnt likely what you need to look for is a seller you can trust for quality and you can have an abec 3 or 5 bearing that is far superior from the rubbish from non skateboarders that is sold on ebay :) happy days !!
