Ford Transit Fuel Filter Spanner

Instructions

Fuel Filter Housing Removal

1. Drain the filter via the bottom drain, close drain

2. Remove filter bowl lower mounting bolt

3. Fit 6669 tool onto the filter bowl

4. Using a suitable 3/8"D wrench turn the filter bowl to the left by approx 30 degrees

5. Pull the filter housing down (may be sticky on seal)

6. Remove filter by levering slightly nearest the alignment arrows and rotating the filter anti-clockwise 10 degrees, lift out filter

Fitting New Filter

1. Remove old filter seal and fit new seal, lubricate seal with grease

2. Half fill the filter bowl with diesel and fit filter into bowl ensuring the arrows on the filter and bowl align

3. Fit bowl and filter assemble to upper housing ensuring the arrows align
