If the option has been selected, an SMS with your GPS coordinates is also sent to all the registered numbers along with a message, which can be personalised, advising that immediate assistance is needed.

He or she would require the help of a relative to program it, but once this done, the knowledge of what a dozen buttons or so do will be more than sufficient for him or her to communicate efficiently with the outside world.
