This is an original silhouette papercut, not a print. Each picture is hand-cut by myself (John Speight) using a scalpel and is then mounted onto watercolour paper that has been airbrushed with a precise mixture of three acrylic inks. The pictures are supplied unframed and in a hand-signed mount. This design is replicated, however, as each picture is individually cut there are small differences that make each an original artwork. The size of the papercut is approximately 280mm x 100mm. The outside of the mount is approximately 400mm x 235mm. ( This is NOT a standard UK photo frame size). The silhouette comes packaged with a backing board in a clear polypropylene bag. A flyer is enclosed entitled "About Your Silhouette" which explains how the papercut is made and tells a little about my familys papercutting history. I come from a family that has nearly a century of papercutting experience. Beginning with my Grandfather in 1921 Im now the third generation to papercut and I have been a professional cutter since 1990. I normally dispatch pictures within five working days.
