Keepdrum DMX004 BL 15 m DMX Cable Blue 3-Pin XLR 100 Ohm

The Keepdrum DMX cable in 3-pin design has a length of 15 m and offers a resistance of 100 ohms. The cable has one male and one female XLR metal connector with locking function and is used to transfer DMX signals. The plugs are equipped with kink protection and promise a long service life.

DMX cables are used in light technology to provide digital control data between transmitters (e.g. DMX controller) and headlights with DMX interface. The 3-pin design can be used in simple setups and delivers the desired signal transmission.

Although ordinary XLR microphone cables optically resemble DMX cables, they are only partially suitable for DMX control. The basic frequency of a DMX control signal is 125 kHz, with an XLR microphone between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. Microphone cables do not have a fixed wave impedance, which makes signal transmission more susceptible to interference with increasing length of the cable path.
