[+ Electric Guitar Strings]
[Single]
James How (former violin student and later graduate engineer) began making strings for his own instruments privately at an early age. From this, he founded the Rotosound company in 1958, which gained worldwide recognition for producing high-quality strings within a very short time.
The first Rotosound artists included musical greats such as the Shadows, Beatles, Rolling Stones as well as the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Rotosound also produced strings for the guitar rarity Vox Organ as well as for the Burns Guitar Company.
John Entwistle (The Who) was the driving force behind the development of the SWING BASS Roundwound string.

The success spread quickly and attracted other artists and bands like Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Queen as the "British Invasion". Jaco Pastorius, The Edge, Oasis, Guthrie Govan, Billy Sheehan, Doug Wimbish and currently Michael Amott (Arch Enemy, Carcass) and Mikey Demus (Skindred) knew and know how to appreciate the legendary Rotosound sound.
What began with electric bass strings expanded to SWING, JAZZ and SOLO bass strings, which already stood for world-class quality when the strings of other manufacturers were still in the laborious development phase. Today, the Rotosound range comprises more than 130 different sets of strings: 57 electric bass, 21 acoustic guitar, 3 acoustic bass, 4 classical guitar, 31 electric guitar and 14 different sets for traditional instruments.
