Neem seed oil is used for its antimicrobial benefits, used especially to cleanse the skin, repel insects and head lice and as an anti-fungal. It is also anti inflammatory, detoxifying and balancing for congested skin. The oil is extracted from the neem seed by cold-pressing to maintain the integrity of the active ingredients. It smells very powerful and bitter. Often essential oils are added to make the scent more pleasant. Neem seed oil is a stable oil and has a shelf life of 12months or more.
