The Designer

Stretching back over 100 years, Royal Albert has always been passionate about floral design, inspired by the quintessentially English country rose garden. Original, timeless and charming, the collections perfectly echo these longstanding traditions of floral patterns with nostalgic twists like polka dots and ruffles, matched with fashionable colours to reflect the stylish world of today’s Royal Albert.

Albert Works was owned by Thomas Wild and his sons who specialised in tea, breakfast and dessert pieces with floral designs. They built up a fabulous reputation of producing beautiful china tea & breakfast sets and firmly established the Royal Albert name.

English fine bone china was always admired for its lightness, translucency and its soft subtle almost pearly white quality. Much approved of by the tea-party hostesses of the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

We believe in sustainability when it comes to both our products and their packaging, and it’s considered at every stage.
